Young readers struggle for a variety of reasons, which might include learning disabilities. However, often it's as simple as not receiving adequate direct instruction. One-on-one direct and explicit reading instruction is key to the development of essential reading skills. We offer one-on-one instruction to help your child find success and improve reading comprehension skills. If your child struggles due to a learning disability or dyslexia, we can use The Barton Reading and Spelling System to improve skills.

With over 20 years of classroom experience, our instructors are passionate about the subjects they teach and bring this enthusiasm into their seminars and courses. In addition, Mary Pringle holds a Master's degree in Education and is Certified in the Barton Reading and Spelling System (Beginning Levels).

Step Up for Students offers various programs to to help parents meet the needs of their children who might struggle to read, or have special needs. Pringle Educational Services, LLC is an approved provider for both the Reading Scholarship and the Family Empowerment Scholarship (formerly Gardiner) programs*.
